Diamonds and Pearls. Prince made history in Jackson, Ms on August 20, 1997. I had the rare opportunity of attending ‘The Artist Formally Known As Prince’ concert. I was so inspired by his performance and after hour pop-up concert, that I wrote about him and his artistry in my book, ‘Romance of a Lifetime.’ The first edition was published in 2005. My first publisher and I strongly disagreed about this chapter, and it was Almost deleted from the story. No opening act, just Prince. The show was electrifying. Undeniably one of the best performances that I have ever seen.
RIP Prince. Thank you for your artistry, and your love for music.

Thank you for your tribute to Prince. Thank you also for reminding readers that the Prince show was the turning point in your novel (page 230). One of the comments, by an NPR reporter on Prince’s musical influence on relationships was helping persons to bounce back from situations that may not have worked. When “Purple Rain” was released, my second wife was on drugs and left home one morning and did not come back. You may go through changes in relationships but you survive, come through, and “party like its 1999.”
Be Blessed,
George
